Public bug reported: I have a FreeIPA server and was setting up a client. I did a standard
ipa-client-install --mkhomedir But when I login through ssh, the home folder of the user is not created. I see that (in contrast to 14.04 FreeIPA package, so since FreeIPA 4.x maybe?) oddjob-mkhomedir is used. It seems to be started and systemctl status oddjobd returns Started privileged operations for unprivileged applications. Cannot find any useful log, I don't know where to start. If you know where to find more information and logs, I will diagnose it further. ** Affects: freeipa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: mkhomedir -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1643244 Title: --mkhomedir seems to not work (through oddjob) in 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeipa/+bug/1643244/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
