Public bug reported: After a minimal ubuntu server installation, install ocsinventory-server and ocsinventory-reports. When installation is completed, open http://your-ocsserver.example.com/ocsreports/
The following error is displayed: "ERROR: MySQL for PHP is not properly installed. Try installing MySQL for php package (Debian: php5-mysql)" However, php5-mysql does not exist in xenial. Looking into the package, I found it uses mysql_connect, a function that has been deprecated for many years and was removed in php7.0. See http://php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-connect.php This makes the package unusable. ** Affects: ocsinventory-server Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ocsinventory-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ocsinventory-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1640132 Title: install.php reports missing php5 dependency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ocsinventory-server/+bug/1640132/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
