Public bug reported: Hi,
I have a weird problem. Whenever there is a system call (i think as the speaker beeps) the system gets so slow it is unworkable under cumtomized visual effects. As test case I do this: in a terminal I type /etc/f and hit <tab> in order to autocompleet. I hear a beep and the whole system is slow. <Ctrl+Alt+Backspace> is my only way out or turn off Visual Effects but it takes to long to get there. Without Visual effects it is fine ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - autocomplete and other systemc calls (?) slooows system (compiz) + autocomplete and other systemcalls (?) slows system painfully (compiz) ** Description changed: Hi, I have a weird problem.
