Okay, I installed python-gst again, but this time, the problem didn't occur. The steps in the bug description still applies, but they aren't relevant anymore. I don't know why this would suddenly change, the only quodlibet related update since then was quodlibet-plugins. I don't know why any of those would want to import gst. Anyway, as it seems this has been fixed, I guess the bug can be closed, unless someone else encounters the same issue.
