Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx
When I define in xorg.conf that I start X with dual-head on my LCD+CRT, my TV is black-white (like sending NTSC, while it needs to be PAL-B) when I switch monitors with nvidia-settings. I normally work with dual head on my LCD and old CRT monitor. Sometimes I want to watch a movie and start nvidia-settings to switch my CRT- output to TV-Output, but for some reason, the output get blurry and black and white. Nvidia does not output to PAL-B. However, when I define in xconf.org that I start X with LCD+TV the screen is in color (so PAL-B). So the problem is that I cannot dynamically switch my display-output. I first have to log-out, edit my xorg.conf en then log back in, because you cannot change the TVStandard from nvidia-settings. My xorg.conf looks like this for starting with TV-out # Option "metamodes" "CRT: 1024x768 +1280+0, DFP: nvidia-auto-select +0+0; CRT: 800x600 +0+0, DFP: nvidia-auto-select +800+0; CRT: 640x480 +0+0, DFP: nvidia-auto-select +640+0" Option "metamodes" "TV: nvidia-auto-select +1280+0, DFP: nvidia-auto-select +0+0" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE" Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" Option "TwinViewXineramaInfoOrder" "DFP" ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nvidia tv out black white, while setting pal-g, due to starting with dual-head on lcd+crt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151771 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
