Pedro, I was referring to the ID3 tags, but I was totally wrong about them not getting automatically updated. When you change a tag (with Listen, for example) it is updated immediately in Rhythmbox. You are correct, that after renaming a folder containing music, that Rhythmbox has the correct information after restarting the program - I don't know how I didn't notice that that worked.
The songs are still duplicated in the library, if the folder is renamed while Rhythmbox is open, and you try to view the songs, and half of them don't work. I guess this is what I origionally noticed, although it isn't nearly as large an annoyance as I originally thought. Sorry for the bad info.
