As mentioned in the bug report above, the host configuration is: Host: iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) Processor: 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB
And the memory configuration of the guest is: System: Motherboard: Base Memory: 4096 MB The host is running fine all the time, so it is not likely a hardware problem on the host. The error is repeatable every time if "NVMe" is used, and there is no error if "NVMe" is not used in VirtualBox. The installation is successful on a real machine with "NMVe" (U.2 drive). So, there must be some error in either Ubuntu or VirtualBox. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1617551 Title: Fresh installation on VirtualBox crashed: NVMe + SDD used as the only drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1617551/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
