Public bug reported: I saw a couple of similar bugs, but all not exactly the same.
I've got a Logitech Dinovo Edge, with bluetooth 2.0. On Feisty this didn't work, but now on Gutsy it sometimes does! When I enter GDM I sometimes have problems entering my username. I type my name, but the system does not respons, If I wait for some seconds my keyboard automatically does respond and I think at that time, the keyboard gives up trying to make a bluetooth connection and automatically connects to old-fashion/non-bluetooth way. When I am logged in I don't see the bluetooth logo in my systray and I don' t have bluetooth. However it occured sometimes that my keyboard did respond immediately in GDM. When I then was logged in, I saw the bluetooth logo in the systray in gnome. Then two things could happen. 1. When I now used my keyboard, I think the keyboard was setting up the bluetooth connection, but I think it did not get authorised and so again the bluetooth driver got disabled and the bluetooth logo would dissapear, but my keyboard worked (without the bluetooth connection). 2. However I could also use my non-bluetooth mouse and right-click the bluetooth logo and explore bluetooth devices in the neighbourhood. I could see my telephone and pair it. And I could also find my keyboard, and authorize it. This way my keyboard did work, for a couple of days. Unfortunately now bluetooth has disappeared again, I do not even see it directly after login anymore. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- logitech dinovo edge bluetooth sometimes works, sometimes not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151559 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
