Public bug reported:

So if I use gnuplot terminal type "tikz" it produces commands including:
\gpsetdashtype{gp dt solid}

However this command is only defined in gnuplot 5.x and not in gnuplot
4.x's version of the gnuplot-lua-tikz.* files. This makes the program
unusable for my workflow that relies heavily on the tikz terminal to
ensure fonts etc look right in the final document.

There is an easy workaround for now, that is copying the upstream
version of these files into the directory I'm compiling the latex in,
but this is messy and potentially broken if I have to run a machine with
a different version of gnuplot.

So far as I can tell, these files are supplied by gnuplot-tex as a
dependency of gnuplot5-data. However this package is from gnuplot 4.x so
contains the wrong versions of the files.

Presumably the fix is to create a gnuplot5-tex that contains the
relevant stuff and depend on that instead (and conflict it with gnuplot-
tex).
