I get the following message after actually *removing* trackerd from my system (tracker package), and then searching in the open dialog (comes up immediately after hitting enter), so I can confirm this happens to me too. I guess Beagle needs to register itself as a search service.
Could not send the search request The name org.freedesktop.Tracker was not provided by any .service files Alternately, the open/save dialog could opt to check whether search was available BEFORE displaying the option at the top of the sidebar. Either would be better than the current situation. -- gtk+ file open dialog insists on using (and launches) trackerd even if beagled is running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
