Same here: Dapper + Skype v1.30 (beta), the one with ALSA support. The machine is a Dell Dimension 1100. Almost every time someone contacts me (chat), the machine hangs for 2 minutes, or sometimes for ever. Still answers a ping though!
I reported the problem to Skype themselves, but it's obviously a kernel problem.
