My issue is only to keep system clean. There are some components in my system that depend on gnome-session-bin, but not gnome-session-common. And I'm trying to decrease number of manually installed packages to bare minimum. Stuff in gnome-session-common are really tiny and I see no practical benefit in having them separated.
Probably, better option might be to add a recommended dependency on gnome-session-common in gnome-session-bin. There is no big technical problems, it just doesn't feel clean enough. Just to mention, for me gnome-session-properties does not feel required in gnome-session-bin either, so perfect solution for me would be to have gnome-session-properties package with everything necessary inside. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1622772 Title: gnome-session-properties icons and .desktop file should be moved to gnome-session-bin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1622772/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
