Public bug reported:

Hi there,

The button "Search your computer" goes dead randomly.
It will do nothing when clicked.

It will stay dead, but might come back again after an hour or so.

This was working fine on 14.04 LTS, but upgrade to 16.04 LTS and clean
install of 16.04 LTS randomly kills this button/feature.

I have to use terminal to start programs that are not on the unity bar.
