I am encountering the same issue again. The Touchpad is not recognized and I have to use a USB mouse to get any work done. The problem reappeared today after some problems during shut down yesterday. I will upload the same three files as last time. The problem was not solved by using an older kernel version (I tried 4.2.0-42-generic and 4.4.0-36-generic).
