** Description changed: In Gusty all kernels (11-13) the system frezzes and becomes unresponsive sometimes it takes 30 minutes other times it takes it less then 5. dpkg appeared to cause the show stopper, how ever it also happened with just Ktorrent running. or a full suite of programs running. The system is up todate, it crashes with just gx-chat running. it affects kde as well screenshots of htop 5 and 1 min before showstopping occured, as well as the last 20 lines of strace of ktorrent. This stop seems to occur most often after booting into gnome and running ktorrent, I can't think of anything that would cause it, it seems to occur most often when I run the update manager while ktorrent is running. After that the system becomes unstable, and frezzes up requiring a hotboot to get things rolling again. + + This appears to be related to the nvidia restricted drivers (glx-new; + FX5500 video card), as it doesn't do this under VESA, it was working + fine til the last upgrade.
