Making an alias on itself result in the following error during successive enable. systemctl enable ejabberd Synchronizing state of ejabberd.service with SysV init with /lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install... Executing /lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install enable ejabberd Failed to execute operation: Too many levels of symbolic links The “Alias=ejabberd.service” is bogus since it point to itself. I attach a fixed debian/patches/ejabberd.service.template.patch. Regards.
