Public bug reported: Cannot play commercial not encrypted CDs or DVDs in Lubuntu 16.04 using Audacious, MPlayer, or VLC.
I cannot pinpoint the exact package that causes the problem. PCManFM seems to fail to mount them. In earlier versions, I could see the files in file manager and play them manually. In 16.04, the disks are just not mounted. It may be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util- linux/+bug/1584509 I am SHOCKED that Lubuntu can put out an LTS with such a major bug. Those are basic things to do with computers. There was no warning about it either. If you are not getting enough donations, that is probably why. Love Lubuntu, but, except for your early ISOs, there has been major bugs with every release.
