I've got the same card, chipset and OS - and exactly the same problem. I've looked around for ages searching for a solution, following everything that has been mentioned or linked to in the posting above to no avail. I've got a Packard Bell Easynote J and so this could well be this bug too:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/75528 When I plug my headphones into the headphone jack i get that click/buzz sound like it's definately alive, and fiesty seems to be finding it, loading the module etc. So it seems to me it must be some kind of bug in the driver, but I know very little about such things. Is there any hope this will work anytime soon or do I need to go buy a pcmcia sound card? Any help or advice much appreciated. -- No Sound from onboard Analog Devices AD1888 SI7012 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137389 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
