In the upstream bug report the dev wrote "patch which prevents crashes on session close (at least the ones related to evdns_getaddrinfo_cancel)". So it doesn't look like it covers this case.
Also Fedora users had the same crash in Fedora 21 and 22. Bug reports have been closed because the releases reached EOL. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1161842 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1222699 ** Bug watch added: hacking a member #1161842 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1161842 ** Bug watch added: hacking a member #1222699 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1222699 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037960 Title: transmission-gtk crashed with SIGSEGV in evdns_cancel_request() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transmission/+bug/1037960/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
