What DarkMageZ proposes in comment #9 (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/116990/comments/9) seems to fix/workaround this issue for me. Can only one else confirm this by compiling rhythmbox with attached patch?
