Then again, XV is broken in fglrx anyway. sigh... What worries me is that we are so close to release. No wonders to be expected from ATI and the readyness for making massive changes is probably not there from the Ubuntu side either... I really do hope this new open source driver comes along nicely and quickly then all this hassle is a thing of the past by somewhen next year.
