Working with updated bluez in silo 68 Settings needs to now look for the characteristic "appearance" rather than class for devices that support the Generic Access Profile. The BLE device reports appearance as 0x03c1 or 961 which is HID keyboard per https://developer.bluetooth.org/gatt/characteristics/Pages/CharacteristicViewer.aspx?u=org.bluetooth.characteristic.gap.appearance.xml
