Public bug reported: Occasionally when I create a new style I can't edit it right away. This usually is resolved by clicking on another style and then clicking back on the new style.
This time however, clicking on another style caused scribus to freeze. Using htop I saw that cpu usage was consistently at 100% or more (multi- core machine). As I write this, cpu usage has been constantly at this rate for about 5 minutes and scribus is still frozen.
