Waleed: * Does cat /proc/asound/cards show your modem ? If so then sl-modem-daemon should work. If not then I'm afraid it's not supported (by the drivers we provide in gutsy, anyway).
* Does this problem still occur with the sl-modem-daemon from current gutsy ? towsonu2003: sl-modem-daemon is supposed to be on the CD but you have to install it. The restricted-manager system is supposed to offer it to you. sl-modem-daemon (just that binary package, and not the unsupported sl-modem-source package) is in restricted now, not multiverse. marvstod: Your comment is completely unrelated to this bug report.
