Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Download latest 16.10 cdimage (for example this - e5bbe3a90fb7aaf98b0371effc008d3b *yakkety-desktop-i386.iso) 2. Insert 8 Gb SD card (or USB flash - /dev/sdd) into computer. 3. Try to install 16.10 on SD/USB memory with kvm (sudo kvm -m 1024 -vga std -hda /dev/sdd -cdrom yakkety-desktop-i386.iso -boot d) 4. Select "Install Ubuntu" in boot menu, select language and click "Continue" in the installer. 5. Get message "You need at least 8.4 GB disk space to install Ubuntu. This computer has only 8.1 GB". - so I can't install Ubuntu 16.10.
Expected results 1. User can install Ubuntu on 8 GB free space. Actual results: 1. User can't install Ubuntu on 8 GB free space. Note: I'll test previous versions of Ubuntu. I can't remember any problems installing them on small disk drives.
