To me, what it seems to be the problem, is that Lock Screens, and Login
systems, such as GDM, or LightDM, or Pantheon's is utilizing VTs to
display Login, and switch between users / lock screen and log back in.
Which seems to be solved by resetting the Virtual Terminal, either
through a chvt between 1 and 7, or bringing up / having a terminal open,
and issuing some command that causes a line reset to which the Mouse
Cursor is allowed to be displayed again. That's what it seems to me
anyways.
