Public bug reported: I did these steps: 1/ install ubuntu-16.04-desktop-amd64.iso 2/ and all updates 3/ install nis and nfs-kernel-server 4/ enter: /bin/systemctl add-wants multi-user.target rpcbind.service
Boot works. 5/ add pidentd, 3.0.19.ds1-7 today. After that, one boot out of 2 fails: process mountd and/or rpcbind and/or ypdbind are not here at the end of the boot sequence. 6/ suppress pidentd. Boot works again. May be a dependency in systemd?? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1598909 Title: 16.04 desktop + nis + nfs-kernel-server + pidentd fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1598909/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
