That was my proposal, IIRC. Might have been related to the fact that the X11 stuff was overridden by ibus (default IM framework in Ubuntu) at the time. That was changed in 16.04, and restoring the compose key section may be motivated.
However, it doesn't seem to be all that easy. I recently added some dead keys (admittedly not Multi_key items) for Togo users, and it proved that you need to enable XIM to make them work. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xkeyboard- config/+bug/1584314/comments/6 So I think some testing is motivated before adding the section back. Possibly there is a need to say that it may be necessary to switch to XIM for it to work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1596152 Title: Restore "Compose Key" documentation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/1596152/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
