Public bug reported:

Hello,

since a week or maybe a little more I can't use Geany anymore in Xenial.
It just gets my session to freeze. When I reach successfully a tty and
am able to start htop, I can see it use almost all the CPU and most of
the RAM + the system uses swap. Once I successfully kill it's process,
still using htop, I can regain control on my session.

I have done a large strace, which I uploaded here (12 MB)
http://meets.free.fr/files/strace-geany.txt

We can see it seeking for quite a few files in the system that it can't
found. Can someone fix it or tell me how to fix it myself incase I'd be
missing a package?

** Affects: geany (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
