<Tab> for movement to the next field / selection, <Space> to make /
unmake a selection, and <Enter> to send the instruction are pretty much
standard, if I'm not misunderstanding you. You are, I think, seeing the
way GUIs (text-based or the ones descended from Xerox' ones) normally
behave. IBM designed it, as I recall.
