Public bug reported: The wifi network worked fine while installing yakkety 16.10 from the 10 June's daily ISO. Now it doesn't work at all. The "enable Wifi" option in the indicator (top bar) has not the tick, but if I tick that option the wifi cards on the list still show "Wifi is not enabled"
I've attached the apt-get's history.log file. I can do a screenshot if needed. I think that could be a network-manager bug, but I'm not sure ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: network-manager 1.2.2-0ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-23.41-generic 4.4.10 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-23-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Sun Jun 12 18:47:36 2016 IfupdownConfig: # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8) auto lo iface lo inet loopback InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-06-11 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.10 "Yakkety Yak" - Alpha amd64 (20160610) IpRoute: NetworkManager.conf: [main] plugins=ifupdown,keyfile,ofono [ifupdown] managed=false NetworkManager.state: [main] NetworkingEnabled=true WirelessEnabled=true WWANEnabled=true SourcePackage: network-manager UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) nmcli-con: NAME UUID TYPE TIMESTAMP TIMESTAMP-REAL AUTOCONNECT AUTOCONNECT-PRIORITY READONLY DBUS-PATH ACTIVE DEVICE STATE ACTIVE-PATH Connessione via cavo 1 bd9bde06-c4fd-33f9-b55b-9a5e976fdc46 802-3-ethernet 1465748545 dom 12 giu 2016 18:22:25 CEST yes 4294966297 no /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Settings/1 no -- -- -- NETGEAR-06 fbe0ae13-8b8d-4483-9638-3779c5c9fb75 802-11-wireless 1465743287 dom 12 giu 2016 16:54:47 CEST yes 0 no /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Settings/0 no -- -- -- nmcli-dev: DEVICE TYPE STATE DBUS-PATH CONNECTION CON-UUID CON-PATH enp9s0 ethernet unavailable /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/1 -- -- -- wlp8s0 wifi unavailable /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/0 -- -- -- wlx00e04d0542ea wifi unavailable /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/3 -- -- -- lo loopback unmanaged /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/2 -- -- -- nmcli-nm: Error: command ['nmcli', '-f', 'all', 'nm'] failed with exit code 2: Error: Object 'nm' is unknown, try 'nmcli help'. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug yakkety ** Attachment added: "history.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591725/+attachment/4682293/+files/history.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591725 Title: Wifi network never enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1591725/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
