This issue actually turned out to be primarily due to a change made in
unity-scopes-api from json-cpp to json-glib, whereby the json returned
from the SSS was being mistreated in some places.

Thanks to Pawel's fixes to unity-scopes-api and Facundo's fix to the
eBay scope, all remote scopes are in working order again.
