Public bug reported:
After installing mysql-client-5.7 on Ubuntu Xenial, the "innotop"
command is present but fails to run with the following error:
Can't locate DBI.pm in @INC (you may need to install the DBI module) (@INC
contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.22.1
/usr/local/share/perl/5.22.1 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-g
nu/perl5/5.22 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.22
/usr/share/perl/5.22 /usr/local/lib/site_perl
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl-base .) at /usr/bin/innotop line 38.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/innotop line 38.
After manually installing the libdbd-mysql-perl package, innotop still fails
with this error:
Can't locate Term/ReadKey.pm in @INC (you may need to install the Term::ReadKey
module) (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.22.1
/usr/local/share/perl/5.22.1 /usr
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.22 /usr/share/perl5
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.22 /usr/share/perl/5.22
/usr/local/lib/site_perl /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl-base .) at
/usr/bin/innotop
line 1341.
After manually installing the libterm-readkey-perl package, innotop *still*
fails!
localhost PROCESSLIST: Redundant argument in sprintf at /usr/bin/innotop
line 6712.
Since this error isn't just a missing package, I've stopped debugging for the
moment.
Since the "innotop" command is provided by the mysql-client-5.7 package
in Xenial (and no longer its own package) I would expect all of its
dependencies to be installed as well. (And it should work...)
