I can confirm this problem. X won't start after rebooting my Dell Inspiron 6400 notebook. Using the failsave tool I changed from the restricted "nvidia" driver to the free "nv" driver and X starts again without problems.
The failsave tool changed my keyboard layout from "de" to "us" which was a little annoying, when I tried to enter my username and password. ** Attachment added: "lspci_and_xorg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9838341/lspci_and_xorg.txt -- After last update,Xorg can't want to start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149732 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
