Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg-driver-fglrx
On Gutsy (fully upgraded) since kernel 2.6.22 introduced (I think!) connecting an external display regardless of XOrg configuration causes hang on X initialisation and odd thin green vertical lines on the screen. Hardware is ATI X700 in a Fujitsu-Siemens M1437G, monitor output is DVI to DVI. Made a video of boot sequence here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKrOJ08jAe8 Only happens when an external monitor is connected. Same scenario is not a problem in Feisty. ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Gutsy] xorg-driver-fglrx: multihead breaks catastrophicly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
