I know I'm late to the party, but this is a bug in the fglrx driver, and can be rectified as far as vainfo is concerned with a fix listed here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer- updates/+bug/1442921 TL;DR: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libXvBAW.so.1.0 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux- gnu/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so This will point vainfo to the correct driver, but it's unclear to me whether this will actually affect H/W acceleration at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1514630 Title: Chromium DEV - new update disable all GPU optons on FGLRX driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1514630/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
