I can confirm this. I've been running Ubuntu Feisty until recently, where I used SCIM (+ KMFL). The problem only appeared in aMSN there (once in a few days). In the last few weeks, I switched to Kubuntu Gutsy and currently, this problem appears so often it's annoying (once an hour or so).
I never had the patience to wait whether the process in question would accept my keystrokes again.
