Another new element

My daughter's got a rather old HP PC (Compaq 6510b, released in April 2009)
which works beautifully with LTS version 10.04.
Unfortunately this version is not maintained any more, so I proposed her to
install the latest one 16.04 32b.
And same problem again, Wifi does not work.

I've got a strong suspicion that there is a major problem with wifi on
this version because:

I (or a PC integrator) have tried on PCs 64 bits UEFI
HP, Asus, Toshiba and NO wifi

I've tried on PC 32 bits non UEFI
Compaq 6510b and NO wifi

As a summary: Wifi does not work on PCs 32 or 64 bits UEFI or not
I let you conclude.

Thx for your help because it would be a pity to have to switch to W10 on
wifi because this is precisely what I would like to avoid!
