Another new element My daughter's got a rather old HP PC (Compaq 6510b, released in April 2009) which works beautifully with LTS version 10.04. Unfortunately this version is not maintained any more, so I proposed her to install the latest one 16.04 32b. And same problem again, Wifi does not work.
I've got a strong suspicion that there is a major problem with wifi on this version because: I (or a PC integrator) have tried on PCs 64 bits UEFI HP, Asus, Toshiba and NO wifi I've tried on PC 32 bits non UEFI Compaq 6510b and NO wifi As a summary: Wifi does not work on PCs 32 or 64 bits UEFI or not I let you conclude. Thx for your help because it would be a pity to have to switch to W10 on wifi because this is precisely what I would like to avoid! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565106 Title: Wifi works on W10 but not on Ub 16.04 nor 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1565106/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
