I having trouble cloning the whole git repository as it's about 2gb in size. Once it's cloned i guess git bisect can help narrow down which commit was the first bad one.
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu-wily.git But i assume there was some sort of error in the logs i originally uploaded, which is why the title of my bug report was changed. If that is true then using the "i915" keyword we can use that as a hint to where the problem is. Since Kernel 4.2.0-040200rc1 was the first bad kernel i found then i am guessing that the first bad commit is some where between Ubuntu-4.2.0-1.1_rc1 and Ubuntu-3.19.0-20.20 which i assume does not have the problem. http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu-wily.git/log/?qt=grep&q=i915&ofs=150 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu-wily.git/log/?qt=grep&q=i915&ofs=100 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575467 Title: [Dell Inspiron 3451] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1297 at /build/linux-lts- utopic-vy2yyy/linux-lts- utopic-3.16.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:1743 vlv_wait_port_ready+0x126/0x170 [i915]() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1575467/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
