Kees, the hpssd daemon is not packaged incorrectly. The "hplip" package
contains everything architecture-dependent, especially all binaries
compiled from C code. The "hplip-data" package contains everything
architecture-independent, especially all Python scripts. "hplip" depends
on "hplip-data", so the installation of the latter is assured. hpssd is
written in Python, so it belongs into "hplip-data". This is done to save
space on the mirrors. "hplip-data" is needed only once for all
architectures.
