Christopher, 1) Yes, badblocks scan shows no errors 2) I make bootable USB stick from ISO using dd. I use another USB stick for that (not Sandisk). After booting I proceed with installation process - I use Sandisk USB as target as if it was a regular harddrive. Installation proceeds without problem. Than I boot from Sandisk and this is when the problem occurs. 3) It was few month ago but I think it was ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso.
Than I upgraded to 16.04 using update-manager. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534948 Title: Ubuntu 15.10 fails to boot from Sandisk USB stick To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1534948/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
