Public bug reported: Whenever I exit full screen in mpv (and presumably other applications with an opengl context) I find myself with a frozen screen I cannot interact with, and need to switch to another TTY to restart Unity or lightdm.
Seems as though this has already been fixed in newer versions of xorg, so its just a matter of backporting them to whatever shipped with 16.04. Here's a patch that's already been accepted "upstream" (not sure if I'm using that right): https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/72436/ Any and all other relevant information: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93844 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Patch added: "An already accepted patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577500/+attachment/4653771/+files/xserver-4-4-dri2-Unblock-Clients-on-Drawable-release.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577500 Title: Exiting fullscreen in applications utilizing opengl freezes entire screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1577500/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
