Unfortunately the identical problem persists with all the kernels I tried recently: 4.2.0-27-generic 4.4.0-16-generic 4.4.0-17-generic 4.4.0-21-generic 4.5.2-040502-generic 4.6.0-999-generic #201604262201 SMP Wed Apr 27 02:03:00 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux (from the ppa "daily")
When booted from USB stick the system suspends and wakes up but is unable to access any filesystems as the stick has moved from /dev/sda to /dev/sdb. The nvme0n1 device is available before standby an is missing after. Same goes for all devices on a PCI bus other than 01: These devices go missing after suspend/standby: 02:00.0 Non-Volatile memory controller: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd NVMe SSD Controller (rev 01) 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 10) 04:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a) My current guess is an issue with the UEFI/BIOS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568703 Title: [Alienware Alienware 13 R2] hibernate/resume failure [non-free: nvidia_uvm nvidia_modeset nvidia] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1568703/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
