What I don't understand is the line with the long UUID for /boot/efi: #UUID=b032ab5d-1a06-4b52-afcb-14954b4b6ab8 /boot/efi /dev/sda1: PARTLABEL= defaults 0 1
this would suggest that at some point the EFI partition was formatted some ext* or other Linux fs instead of the normal VFAT (for which a commented out entry also exists). How did you install this system, in particular which partitioning option did you chose? If you did manual partitioning, what exactly did you do? Is it possible that you changed the EFI partition manually? Can you please run "sudo blkid" and paste the output here? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575813 Title: Dual boot does not work after upgrade to 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim-signed/+bug/1575813/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
