Public bug reported: When doing 'do-release-upgrade' on a headless machine via ssh, a warning is issued with instructions on how to access a secondary SSH instance that is started. Since the upgrade process is started within `screen`, which is fantastic!, it would be beneficial to provide instructions to the user on how to connect to that screen should the terminal session get dropped.
It's a little thing, and an enhancement not a bug, but would improve the user experience and lessen anxiety when it looks like something has gone terribly wrong. ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575162 Title: Provide screen reattachment instructions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1575162/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
