@Robie: Fully agree on that. It was just for the record so nobody thinks this is a security enhancement like isolating PHP5 with LX* but rather a way for still migrating a server to xenial. Beside the container hype it's by nature more complex and tricky to do isolation with containers than virtualization, that's why i like that Canonical pushes LXC development as some gurus claimed since years that they can escape a LXC container and interfere with the host.
