Public bug reported: Doing a normal upgrade from 15.10 to 16.04 LTS.
Upgrade of systemd-sysv failed, causing all kinds of trouble for many following packages, I had to click OK at least 30 times. Eventually the upgrade was aborted, with a message that the machine might be in an unusable state. I tried to run update-manager again. It just said that the machine needs to be rebooted, which I did. The machine reboots OK, but when logging in there is a popup about an error in the operating system. When trying to report that, Apport crashed. apt-get upgrade says everything is up-to-date.
