Public bug reported: I was doing an advanced installation of 16.04 using epiphany and it choked when installing grub installer. After partitioning my drives, there was a prompt asking me if it would be OK to proceed if certain other operating systems. I said OK. Then packages began installing and it choked at grub-installer.
I installed Boot-Repair and then it asked me to input these three commands: sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda1" dpkg --configure -a sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda1" apt-get install -fy sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda1" apt-get purge -y --force-yes grub*-common grub-common:i386 shim-signed linux-signed* Here was the output from each: http://pastebin.com/wjkTVbTf Boot-Repair concluded with an error. Here is Boot-Repair's info file: http://paste2.org/WtnBZLWy This royally sux.
