Binary package hint: xorg
Hello!
I have an ATI X700 Mobility on my laptop and bullet-proof-x doesn't works when
I launch Gutsy Beta LiveCD in failsafe mode.
The problem is none xorg config files don't works( xorg.conf and
xorg.conf.failsafe)
Each file need option which other has.
xorg.conf need subsection display mode
xorg.conf.failsafe need HorizSync and VertRefresh values.
So X server doesn't start.
When I add the good option in the good xorg config file, X server start
in failsafe mode.
For previous releases, I have to started in failsafe mode with internet access,
then downloaded the fglrx driver by apt and restarted the X server.
For Gutsy, i thinked this tip will disappear with bullet-proof-x and
display-gtkconfig.
So, i think other people which have same ATI cards on laptops could have same
problem.
So, i hope this problem will be fix for the release or in Hardy with xorg 7.4.
Sorry, I don't know how send logs and configs files.
And sorry for my english language, i'm a french guy!
