With aperture set to 128 - in window 4d hypertorus doesn't freeze nearly so often and i cannot seem to make it freeze by moving mouse over 'power management' and 'close' buttons.
*I've noticed that i can produce a freeze by opening a gedit window (to type this). Maybe the cursor flashing causes the freeze?* Fullscreen - it freezes most of the time.
